Her Story
A journey of transformation — from survival to sacred stillness.
I’m Mikayla — a mechanical engineer by trade with a deep passion for natural healing and a calling to help others feel safe, seen, and supported on their path toward healing and wholeness.
I started my career in mechanical engineering, where I was trained to solve complex problems through precision, systems thinking, and intentionality. My education taught me how to think critically, recognize patterns, and bring order and insight to even the most complex challenges. As an engineer, I learned to observe how individual components affect the whole — a mindset that now deeply informs how I view the body, the nervous system, and emotional well-being.
Over time, I began to see how those skills translated into something more meaningful. The analytical thinking I once used to troubleshoot mechanical systems, I now apply with compassion to understand people — how past trauma, chronic stress, and emotional suppression can create imbalance. I may have stepped away from engineering, but the skills stayed with me — and they’ve become part of how I hold space, craft formulas, and support others on their healing journey.
Still, it wasn’t until I began to heal myself that everything truly shifted. I realized that some things can’t be solved — they must be felt, held with compassion, and slowly released from the body, the heart, and the nervous system.
True healing isn’t about fixing; it’s about softening, surrendering, and learning how to feel safe again.
I know this because I’ve lived it. I’ve navigated seasons of anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm. My own nervous system was stuck in survival mode — constantly alert, disconnected, and depleted. I didn’t just want to feel better. I wanted to feel safe in my body again.
That’s what led me to herbal medicine — not as a trend, but as a path back to myself.
Now, I bring the same problem-solving mindset I developed as an engineer into my healing work — crafting herbal medicine that helps restore what trauma may have disrupted: a sense of safety, presence, and peace in the body.
The medicine I create isn’t just practical — it’s personal.
My formulas are rooted in lived experience — created for those who’ve had to carry without rest, who’ve been praised for their strength but denied softness, safety, and space to feel. They’re for the ones whose nervous systems were never given permission to exhale. MK Herbals exists to hold space for that exhale. For rest. For regulation. For the healing we were never taught but have always deserved.
What drives my work is simple: helping people feel safe, grounded, and empowered in their bodies again — using gentle, plant-based remedies that support the nervous system and restore inner balance.
This isn’t just herbal medicine.
It’s emotional nourishment for the soul.
